About: William "Mikey" Barrett
William "Mikey" Barrett was throwing a ball before he could crawl. He is the only switch hitter in the Shreveport Dixie Baseball League and has been doing it ever since he was 4 years old. Also, he is ambidexterous. Known for playing first base but also working on becoming a switch pitcher. He has a great eye for the ball on offense and is a good defensive player as well. Honors include: Member of the 2008 Machine Pitch 7/8 All-Star team; featured in the Baseball Youth Spring 2008 issue "Baseball Card Promotion". He is also the starting QB for a Sixth grade football team, the Broncos. Also, plays small forward in basketball.
