Player of the Year Nominee - Mason Meredith

About: Mason Meredith

Mason has played baseball since preschool and dreams of playing baseball in college.

In the spring, Mason played with the Memorial Bruins team at Baseball USA. The Bruins won the spring league championship game.

Mason played Little League also this spring with the Phillies at Post Oak Little League. This summer, Mason played in June and July on the All-Star Team from Post Oak Little League.

In August, Mason played on the Houston MVP Slam Team participating in the Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament in New York.

The team sponsor is the MVP Foundation, which teaches leadership development, community service, educational advancement, and sports.

Each of the players at the Cooperstown Baseball Tournament was inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame.

Mason Meredith's Stats:

Mason plays shortstop, third base and pitcher on the teams.

Mason Meredith's Other Activities (non-sports related):

Mason enjoys school and is on Honor Roll.

Mason also helps mentor a 3rd grade student, Jonathan, from a school in a low-income area. Mason is helping him learn to play baseball, as Jonathan has not yet played on an official baseball team because there are not any baseball leagues where he lives.

Mason also enjoys fishing, going to Astros' games, drawing, playing sports video games, and spending time with friends from school and church.
