Texas Heat Is No Problem During Central's Visit to CoppellSubmitted by BYEditor on July 01, 2009
The Central crew is starting to get acclimated with the hot Texas sun, but we still felt the heat when we showed up to Wagon Wheel Park in Coppell, Texas. Tons of parents saw our Player of the Year inflatable and nominated their kid to win the award on the MLB Network. Time will only tell if this year's player of the year will come from the great state of Texas. Over at the Topps Attax booth we had some true battles for bragging rights. Twin brothers Joseph and Jacob played each other numerous times. As...
Action Gets Crazy at Central Tour's Stop to Flower MoundSubmitted by BYEditor on July 01, 2009
The Central crew battled the heat, and the crowd and had a great day at the Texas State Championship in Flower Mound, Texas. There was so much talent at this tournament that we decided to pick out one lucky player to be featured on a baseball card in our next issue of Baseball Youth Magazine! Man, was he excited to find out he was going to have a card right next to the pros. Our giant buckets of Topps and Upper Deck baseball cards were getting mobbed by kids eager to find their favorite players. Over at...
Big League Dreams Welcomes Central Crew to Mid-Week EventSubmitted by BYEditor on June 27, 2009
The Central Crew made their way out to the Big League Dreams Park in Mansfield, Texas for a great mid-week event. The crew was VERY tempted to go to the water park right next to the field instead of setting up in the hot Texas heat. But, in the end, we decided to set up the Baseball Youth Road Trip Fanfest and had an awesome day. The Big League Dreams complex was unlike anything we’ve seen on the trip. Each of their fields were replicas of actual stadiums. They had Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wri...
Central Crew Breaks In New Complex In Cedar HillSubmitted by BYEditor on June 21, 2009
The Central crew got to spend the weekend in Cedar Hill, Texas at Valley Ridge Park. The complex was brand new, and we were set up right in the heart of the action. We got to the park on Saturday and were very lucky to be set up during their opening ceremonies and skills competition. 2010 model Louisville Slugger bats were flying off the racks as parents were trying to give their child the best chance to win the Home Run Derby. It comes as no surprise that Jacob won the Derby using one of our Dynasty mo...

The Grapevine Mustangs are getting ready to play a doubleheader tomorrow night against the TCR Bobcats. Going into the weekend, the Mustangs are 7-4 with three ties. The team played a doubleheader Thursday night against the FM Cobras and came away with a win and a tie. Since a doubleheader sweep Monday versus the Texas Hawks, Grapevine is unbeaten in its last four games. Next weekend the Mustangs will be taking part in the NTI End of Season Tournament.
Major League Roundup: Texas RangersSubmitted by BYEditor on May 06, 2009
At the plate: Second baseman Ian Kinsler continues to crush the baseball. He has three multi-hit games to start May, and he leads the Rangers in homers (9), RBIs (25), stolen bases (7) and runs (23). Josh Hamilton has been for a little more than a week now, but the rest of the Rangers lineup has picked up the slack. Look for Hamilton's return soon, though. On the mound: Starter Kevin Millwood keeps chugging along as an underrated team ace. He is 3-2 with a 2.78 ERA as he leads a mediocre starting staff....
