National News: Disney's Salute to Baseball Kicks Off Fourth of July Weekend

Tournament lasts through Thursday at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex
Disney's Salute to Baseball is underway this weekend as many of the top travel teams in the South and other regions in the U.S. have come to Orlando for high-level baseball. The tournament started today and the final champions will be crowned July 9 at the Disney Wide World of Sports complex.
Seven age groups are duking it out with 8U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams represented. This is one of Disney's biggest baseball tournaments each year, and the kids are treated to major league quality fields, a unique experience and fun at the numerous Disney parks.
Disney's Wide World of Sports is a sponsor of the Baseball Youth Road Trip, and the East tour will be in action during the Fourth of July. There will be great FanFest action early in the morning till the final games are played in mid-afternoon.
