PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL - TOUR STOP

July 27-30, 2006

It’s pretty hard not staying on Panama City’s white beaches as the light blue Gulf of Mexico crashes into the shore, but there was some Baseball Card Challenge to play. Plus, there were over 100 teams from all over the United States at the Grand Slam World Series of Baseball who would have been disappointed if we did not show up.

As the games really got going, after the early morning, people from all over Frank Brown Park began spotting our Baseball Youth Road Trip trailer and zone. It was not long before we kids packed our zone wanting to play game after game with us.

Before the second day’s games even started, we pulled into the park and saw kids waiting for us on tables to get the Baseball Card Challenge going. Different teams would join us as the day went on. Some hung out with us before their game, and others waited until their games were over.

Thank goodness we get to stay in Florida, but we will in the middle of the state in Orlando. There may be no beaches, but there is Walt Disney World and Disney’s Wide World of Sports. It should be a great time.
